What curriculum will the school follow?

Our school curriculum is aligned with NEP 2020 and NCF 2023. We are affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) and offer the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) examination. We focus on developing a curriculum which is integrated, contextual, spiral learning, development of life skills and aligned with curriculum goals and domains as per NCF 2023.
What co-curricular activities are offered?

At our school, education goes beyond the classroom. We believe that co-curricular activities play a vital role in the holistic development of students, complementing the academic curriculum and nurturing essential life skills.

We offer a wide range of co-curricular activities that encourage students to explore their interests, discover new talents, and build confidence. These activities are integrated into the school calendar and are conducted regularly to ensure balanced growth in intellectual, emotional, physical, and social domains.

  • Dance (classical and contemporary) a team of dedicated instructors from Soni’s School of Indian Performing Arts,
  • Speech & Drama by the teachers from Raell Padamsee’s Ace Productions Pvt. Ltd., fine arts, and craft workshops that foster creativity and expression.

Sports and Physical Education: A dedicated team of teachers from Marcos Quay helps us in following structured sports program including athletics, team games (football, basketball, cricket), indoor games (chess, table tennis), yoga, and fitness training to promote discipline, teamwork, and physical well-being.

How qualified are the teachers?

We have professionally qualified teachers in our school. Their qualifications of teachers are as per the norms laid by CISCE and the Government of Maharashtra. Teachers here are graduate/ post – graduate with a degree in teaching programs like B.Ed / D.Ed. ECC.Ed is a must for a Pre-Primary teacher.

Does the school conduct ongoing training or professional development for staff?

To continually enhance teaching quality and professional growth, our school conducts SEEPStaff Enrichment and Empowerment Programme – for teachers periodically.

What safety and security measures are in place?
  • Our campus is equipped with 24×7 CCTV surveillance across the premises, ensuring constant monitoring.
  • The entire school campus is fire compliant.
  • Classrooms are air-conditioned with a Treated Fresh Air (TFA) system to maintain a healthy indoor environment.
  • In our Pre-Primary section, we have added child-friendly vinyl flooring and installed finguards on doors to prevent any accidental injuries.
Is transport available for students?
Yes, transport is available through a reliable, school-approved contractor. Every vehicle is equipped with CCTV cameras and live GPS tracking, so parents can monitor the journey in real-time. To ensure safety and comfort, a trained female nanny accompanies students on each route. Bus routes are thoughtfully planned based on demand and convenience, making the daily commute smooth and secure.
Does the school have a playground or sports infrastructure?

Yes! Our campus features expansive play areas and state-of-the-art sports facilities that inspire movement, discipline, and team spirit. Are there inter-house or inter-school competitions?

Does the school provide meal service?
The school offers a meal service comprising snacks and lunch for Primary and Secondary students through a satellite kitchen. For Pre-Primary children, the school provides nutritious snacks prepared by the same kitchen.
What health and wellness facilities are available on campus?
Our School has a well-equipped infirmary. An annual Health Camp is organised in the school to check the overall well- being of the learners.
Is there a nurse or medical staff available during school hours?

We have a trained nurse in our school, and we have a tie-up with the Hithvardak hospital. Only first aid is provided in the school. In case of medical exigency, the hospital is contacted (after parental consent).

Does the school have a parent app or digital platform for communication?

Yes, Edusprint is the digital app that our parents and school use for communication.

How are parents informed about school events and updates?
Updates from the school are provided through circulars uploaded on Edusprint or e-mails. Also, our school website is constantly updated.
Are parents involved in school events or volunteering opportunities?

We have a Parent-teacher Association (PTA) which is actively involved in planning the events in school.

Is KESIS a government-registered Pre-primary school?

Yes, KES International School (KESIS) is a government-registered preschool in Mumbai. We have met all the mandatory requirements set by the regulatory authorities, including:

  • RO-purified drinking water, certified water tank cleaning, and valid water testing certification.
  • A comprehensive fire safety system with ceiling sprinklers, smoke detectors, and a trained disaster management team
  • Complete CCTV surveillance system.
  • Safe school transport equipped with CCTV cameras, GPS tracking, and a female nanny.
  • An all-female ancillary team in the preschool section to provide a matronly environment for our youngest learners
